Diggs School of Dance

Studio Performance
Once a year a Report of Progress is scheduled in which the family and friends of our students are invited to the studios to observe classes. This is an opportunity for your child to perform their newly acquired skills, and for you to share in their dance experience. Attendance is strongly encouraged and cameras are welcome.

Recital
Recitals are scheduled on an every other year basis due to the amount of class time required for preparation and the additional costs to families. Recitals are usually held during the spring season.

Bayside Youth Ballet
Bayside Youth Ballet, Inc. is the resident dance company of Diggs School of Dance. Established in 1993 the company offers a more intense and disciplined dance study for those who may be interested in pursuing dance as a career. The company performs throughout the year for civic, school and community groups as well as full length productions. Auditions are held annually in the spring.

Chrysalis
Chrysalis provides dancers, ages eight to eleven, an opportunity to train and perform with Bayside Youth Ballet, as well as receive individual mentoring from Company Members. Invitations are extended in the fall.

Master Classes/Performances
Master classes taught by nationally recognized instructors are offered for levels II and up, as well as attendance to professional performances by companies such as American Ballet Theater and Alvin Ailey.
